Joheskiller's customization packs
These are the game customization packs that I made, composed with contents created by me or downloaded from GameBanana. Those packs are created for me because I like to « upgrade » and customize my games, but my friends wanted to try them too and quickly other people.
I only wanted optimized and correctly made packs, this is why I made mines. For example, there is absolutly no need to have 8k textures on a game of 2005 with 512px environments textures, this is completely inconsistent and break uniformity. This is also the reason that I made this page for everyone who want to try and use my game-packs.
Feel free to ask me minors modifications for you, but I’m not making others unique packs.
Files are hosted on my own server, downloads are straight direct, no ads, no third party provider or hoster for my packs.
Remember that some servers owners can enforce their content, preventing you, as player to choose with what and how you want to play. This cannot be avoided, otherwise that playing somewhere else. They can also choose to force you download and use their content, which in most cases, is far worse.
High-Res original Weapons
This huge pack updade every weapon of the game by really high quality ones while keeping the original weapons, except for the AUG that has been replaced by a G36C. Both view-models and world-models are updated for almost every weapons.
I also changed or removed custom animations to fix multiplayer issues and keep the vanilla ones.

Playermodels 2021
Update Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist player models for highly detailed ones, which add much more immersive combat situations. Remember to choose either this pack or the following one! You can’t have both working simultaneously.

HUD, GUIS & Menus
This pack update the in-game HUD, change the main menu background, buttons and add startup musics. It also change the C4 indicator, the weapon flash cloud, player microphone & radio icons and slightly enlarge the radar. The menu has been made for my friends, so the servers are the ones where we are used to play.

Menu font Fix (February 2025 Update)
Important update, february 18 2025, modernizing fonts and menus like the Half-Life 2 20th Anniversary. However, this new style doesn’t necessarily match for every Source Engine games, and players having custom menus with lot of elements simply cannot have it on a single screen. This tiny file simply rollback the old style, like the picture above.

Real weapons & teams names
This really tiny file simply replace fictional names by they real ones, moslty weapons but also players units names. For players that want accurate informations and immersive gameplay!
Note: This only works for games set in english. Contact me for your language.

How to install
Simply extract the « .rar » file then place the « .vpk » file in the custom folder of your game.
Default path is: \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\custom\
Fichiers .RAR compressés (WinRar/WinZip). Extraire les fichiers « .RAR » dans le dossier custom du jeu.
Chemin par-defaut: \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\custom\
